Dynamic Training is proud to offer the Pearson BTEC Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Adult Care, a specialist qualification designed for current and aspiring leaders, managers, and senior professionals within the adult care sector. This advanced programme is ideal for those responsible for leading teams, managing services, and driving quality improvement in adult care settings.
The qualification develops the advanced knowledge, technical skills, and professional behaviours needed to lead and manage effective, person-centred services. Learners will gain a deep understanding of leadership and management principles, as well as the legislative and regulatory frameworks that govern adult care. Key areas of study include safeguarding, governance, team development, quality improvement, effective communication, and courageous leadership.
This programme is suitable for a range of senior roles, including Registered Managers, Service Managers, Deputy Managers, Advanced Practitioners, and Team Leaders. It also provides a nationally recognised Level 5 qualification that supports progression to CQC-registered manager roles and further study.

Delivery Model

- 4 hours of virtual classroom learning per month for 8 months (delivered via MS Teams)

Theories of Leadership: - Compare leadership and management roles, explore different leadership theories and styles, and apply them within adult care settings.
Governance & Regulatory Processes: - Gain knowledge of governance frameworks, legislation, and regulatory requirements, and understand the leader’s role in compliance and quality improvement.

Who Is This Accredited Course For?
This qualification is designed for experienced professionals working in adult care settings who are in, or aspiring to, leadership and management roles. It is ideal for those leading teams, managing services, or wishing to progress to the role of Registered Manager in residential or domiciliary care, day centres, or supported living environments.
Entry Requirements
- It is expected that learners will have qualifications and/or experience in management roles within health and social care.
- If completing this qualification as part of the Leader in Adult Care apprenticeship standard, Level 2 English and maths and the Care Certificate are required.
- For staff who completed the CIS prior to the Care Certificate, the employer is responsible for identifying and addressing any gaps.
