Care Certificate

6 Months - £55 + VAT

The Care Certificate is an agreed set of standards that define the knowledge, skills and behaviours expected of specific job roles within the health and social care sectors. Designed for individuals who are new to care, it forms a key part of a robust induction programme, ensuring staff are prepared to deliver safe, effective and person-centred care. At Dynamic, our programmes focus on building the underpinning knowledge required for the Care Certificate, while supporting learners to understand how this knowledge is applied in real workplace settings.

Important Information About Assessment

The Care Certificate is not a qualification and cannot be awarded by a training provider alone.

  • Employers are responsible for assessing competence in the workplace
  • Learners must demonstrate they can apply their knowledge in practice
  • The full certificate is only achieved when all standards are signed off by the employer

Dynamic supports this process through structured learning and guidance; however, workplace assessment must be carried out by the employer in line with Skills for Care expectations.

Our Care Certificate Pathways

We offer two tailored knowledge-based pathways:

  • Care Certificate – Social Care Sector
  • Care Certificate – Health Sector

Each pathway is designed to reflect sector-specific environments while maintaining full alignment with national Care Certificate standards.

Course Content

The Care Certificate is made up of 16 standards, covering essential areas of practice.

Our programme provides:

  • Structured e-learning aligned to all 16 standards
  • Knowledge development to prepare learners for practice
  • Guidance on applying learning within the workplace

Importantly, our e-learning is also designed to align with the knowledge requirements of the Adult Care Level 2 qualification. This means learners are not only developing the knowledge needed for the Care Certificate, but are also building a strong foundation to progress onto a fully accredited qualification. This creates a clear progression pathway from induction through to formal qualifications, supporting both individual career development and organisational workforce planning.
