Course Overview
Dynamic Training delivers the Level 2 Award in Awareness of End-of-Life Care (RQF), an accessible, knowledge-based qualification that strengthens confidence, empathy, and cultural sensitivity when supporting individuals and families at the end of life. The programme develops core understanding of principles, communication, and service navigation so staff can provide compassionate, person-centred care aligned to policy and best practice.
Learners explore different perspectives on death and dying, the aims and values of end-of-life care, communication skills for sensitive conversations, and how to signpost effectively to local and national support. With flexible online delivery, structured resources, and supportive coaching, the award fits around busy roles while building capability and assurance.
Course Content
Our delivery is practical, paced for working teams, and supported by friendly tutor guidance.
Delivery Model
- Two online sessions either as 1:1 or in group workshops delivered via MS Teams
- Induction to our learning portal, e-portfolio, and MS Teams
- Guided self-study with structured workbooks and reflection activities
- Monthly tutor check-ins focused on progress, confidence, and study planning
- One-to-one tutor support for assignment clarity and wellbeing signposting
- IT support for access, submissions, and digital confidence
- Programme duration: 1–3 months, subject to experience
Workshop Breakdown: What Will Participants Learn
Session 1: Foundations of End-of-Life Care
- Perspectives on death and dying: cultural, religious, and personal contexts
- Aims, principles, and policies: dignity, respect, choice, advance care planning
- Roles and responsibilities within end-of-life pathways
- Record-keeping, confidentiality, and information sharing
Session 2: Communication, Support and Signposting
- Communication in sensitive contexts: empathy, listening, barriers and enablers
- Supporting individuals and families: emotional awareness and boundaries
- Local and national support services; access and referral challenges
- Working with multi-agency partners; escalation and feedback loops
Learners complete structured workbooks, short reflective tasks, and knowledge activities, uploading evidence to their e-portfolio.
