Privacy and dignity in care workshop

Caring for people and treating them with dignity, compassion and respect sits at the very core of good health and social care. This course has been designed to raise awareness of the importance of privacy and dignity and how to uphold it within a health and social care setting and provide a person centred approach to care.

  • The definition of equal opportunities and diversity
  • The importance of information sharing and confidentiality
  • The role and responsibilities of the care worker
  • Identification of the relevant legislation impacting good practice
  • To define the use of care plans and risk assessments
  • To demonstrate effective communication skills
  • To discuss the importance of empathy
  • To discuss the importance of dignity

Workshops are run with a minimum number of attendees.

These workshops are priced individually and are an additional charge to the cost of studying for a diploma
