Job Title: Skills and Development Coach – Health

Operational Team: Commercial

Location: Working from home, with travel within an 80-mile radius

Reports to: Delivery Manager

Accountable to: Head of Apprenticeships and Commercial

Liaises with: Delivery managers, Curriculum leads, Head of Quality, Quality Assurance Leads, Head of Business Development, delivery teams, claims and compliance, finance, and centre admin.

Working Hours: 37.5 hrs a week.

Salary: Band A to B  - £31,500 to - £38,500  subject to previously achieved qualifications.

 

Job Summary
As the Skills and Development Coach for Health, with a focus on Maternity you will be expected to uphold and role model Dynamic’s values and behaviours. To demonstrate an inclusive approach. The Skills and Development Coach for Health plays a vital role in guiding and supporting apprentices through supporting apprentices within the Senior Health Care Support Worker, Maternity pathway, ensuring they develop the skills and knowledge required to excel in Maternity. This position involves assessing, teaching and coaching apprentices, providing constructive feedback, and monitoring their progress to achieve successful completion of their programme.

Main duties and responsibilities:

·         To follow and support the standardised onboarding journey with robust assessment of recognition of prior learning.

·         To ensure every learner has an off the job training plan completed timely, implemented, reviewed quarterly, and demonstrates best practice.

·         To motivate, enthuse through robust individual programme planning and coaching ensuring timely achievement.

·         To embed and deliver career progression discussion within every individual programme.

·         Design and deliver engaging, unique, informative, and challenging curriculums tailored to maternity

·         To identify individual additional learning needs through planning, implementation and review of additional learning support, making reasonable adjustments to the journey.

·         Promote diversity, celebrating differences through positive language, role modelling, challenging unconscious bias, ensuring representation within curriculum.

·         To embed preparation of end point assessment – ensuring every individual is fully prepared, confident, and empowered.

·         Conduct assessment in accordance with Dynamic’s high standards and requirements of awarding bodies and end point assessment organisations.

·         To support the delivery of functional skills through direct communication with the Functional skills team, promotion of the Functional Skills journey to learner and line manager.

·         Monitor caseload and the progression of each learner, taking immediate action for learners at risk.

·         To provide quarterly formal progress reviews reflecting achievements, distance travelled, actions required and ensuring training targets effectively link to the apprenticeship standard being undertaken via the off the job training plan.

·         To ensure timely and accurate reporting for compliance and quality purposes.

·         To comply with compliance requirements for auditing purposes.

·         To implement Dynamic’s quality improvement measures.

·         To maintain and uphold Dynamic’s quality assurance.

·         To uphold and follow Dynamic’s safeguarding and prevent policy and procedures.  

·         To demonstrate effective time management and organisational skills.

·         Support the implementation of learning technologies and teaching, learning, and assessment initiatives to enhance the learner experience.

·         To ensure dissemination of all related policies, procedures and codes of practice and develop/maintain associated supporting documentation to the team and customers/learners.

·         Maintain compliance in accordance with legislation, policy, and procedures – GDPR, Equality and Diversity, disability confident.

·         Ensure compliance of Health and Safety legislation.

·         Undertake training and continuing professional development to a high level to ensure personal effectiveness.

·         Any other duties that may reasonably be required.
